  1. Sorry about befriending you on Writers Cafe, I just enjoyed the prose you posted their…but then attention to detail turned me into a dork when I discovered your request not to befriend you.

    ;u)

    • LMAO–well, I’m not likely to hex you or anything over an honest mistake. ;-)

I have most of everything from the Cafe on here. And thank you for the compliment. I do truly appreciate it. Readers are scarce here sometimes…but then, so is the drama, so it’s worth the leap from the WC to here.

  2. Hi Sharon, I have seen u on my Twitter for a while, without tweeting you. How rude of me – so sorry.
I see that you are quite a writer, and know that, and are proud of it.
I have bookmarked “Writer Unleashed” for deeper browsing.
It’s the middle of the night, here in Bury (UK). I should be asleep, but insomnia is my cross to bear. It’s a heavy one. My wife, Kate [ @MrsKateHarrison] struggles with me, but we’ll be fine
For a man, I’m not that bad (or that mad!)

I try hard to think like a women and understand what it takes to be a good husband.
I’m determined to be a good person, in spite of the fact I’m a man. A Martian. The weaker sex, by miles :~)
Perhaps read my poem “A Woman For A Week”. It explains a little.

The battle of the sexes will go on for eternity, but it doesn’t HAVE to be a war. I’m searching for peace, these days. My fav music is total silence (with a little Joe Jackson, Van Morrison, Delta Blues, Sinatra, Nat King Cole …)

I’ll go now, saying that I do hope the Redskins shape themselves on Monday, at home to the Eagles. Last week was a disgrace. I’m almost ashamed to be a fan. Wanna buy a shirt :~) ?

Goodbye for now, Sharron. When our paths cross in Twitter, I’ll say HI, and we can chat rubbish / sanity together, if you’re up for it. I must sleep now. Kate’s sleeping. So must I.
    Goodnight.
    John

    Re: End Of The Line

    Hello,

I was prowling through the Writers Cafe site and discovered your regretfully sad, yet caustic final comment.
I agree, there’s an awful lot of tripe out there but there is a lot of genuinely good work too. I mean, it’s a free site, so it kind of ‘opens the floodgates’ like most things on the internet; so it can’t be totally avoided (one man’s idea of talent is another man’s poison). I think that when you consider that publishing houses and editors, etc. get an immense amount of rubbish sent to them every day in the name of ‘Art’ – then they have the very same problem. It’s hard to convince a lot of people of what’s Art and what isn’t.

I’m not saying you’re wrong or right. But I am interested in your views, and would very much like to know what you see as the way forward…

    Thanks for reading!
